I always love it when style puts up pictures from backstage. It’s nice to see what (sort of) goes on behind the runway. And seeing models reading and actually smiling is quite a treat. Alas, I’ve just cleaned up my computer, and so many lovely photos have moved on to my photobucket account, and so this is the meager offering I give you.

I’m in love with Lanvin. It’s so losse and (for lack of a better word) flow-y. Ever since fall 2007, I can’t get enough! The colours for the Resort collection are divine. If I could afford even a bracelet, I would certainly buy it.

1. What were you doing 10 years ago?

Ten years ago I was frolicking in my backyard playing house in a shed and eating mulberries straight from the tree. I was climbing maples and oaks and playing hide-and-seek in my new drum set’s bass drum.

2. What are 5 things on your to-do list today?

Vacumm (again!), Mop, Read Harry Potter the !st (again!), See a movie with friends, Not snack

Funny you should mention it…: Red Rasberry yogurt with cereal flakes, kashi granola bars, natural fudgsicles, blueberry muffins

4. Places you have lived…

I live where I travel, even if it’s only briefly. But mainly, a little suburb outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

5. 5 things you would do if you were a billionaire?

Goodness! Learn every language I possibly could; buy that French chauteau I’ve been mentally mapping out, with the lilacs and lavendar fields and vineyard and stable with two or four horses and a lovely grand piano; give to charity; buy my parents a home; write a novel about how I became rich through modeling.
6. People you want to know more about

French monarchs (and queens), Elizabeth I, the boy I’m infatuated (or in love?) with, my father, my great grandfather, my mother, freja beha erichsen, jk rowling, ian mcewan….

I think Givenchy is keeping me sane right now. Who cares about resort? For now, I just want to hide myself under layers and layers of fabric. I love the pants. I would like some pants in a sample size, please. I’m sure, by the time they fit me, I could call them vintage.

There is something about Gucci’s fall collection that has me excited for September to roll around. It’s dark, elegant, and reminds me of the handkerchiefs that we had when I was little. I’m ready to layer again, even though the heat hasn’t even peaked yet.
